UCLA Laboratory
As part of a multi-phase laboratory modernization effort across the UCLA campus, the CHS 63-127 Wet and Dry Laboratory renovation transforms an outdated teaching lab into a state-of-the-art research environment supporting advanced neuroanatomic and neuroinformatic studies.
The project includes seismic strengthening and infrastructure upgrades to accommodate specialized spaces such as brain-clearing alcoves, behavioral and surgery rooms, and microscope suites. NOUS provided structural engineering services for this and related UCLA laboratory upgrades, collaborating with IT Architects to integrate complex mechanical, vibration, and equipment systems within existing structural constraints. The resulting design enhances safety, adaptability, and performance for evolving research programs while minimizing disruption to active facilities.
