South Station
A sweeping new interior for a historic New England station, bringing a grand scale and uplifting sense of arrival.
The redevelopment of South Station transformed New England’s busiest ground transportation hub into a landmark transit center and community destination. The Great Space replaces a previous low-lit and dim walkway to the rail lines, and also serves as the structural base for the 51 story tower. Nous worked with Radius Track on the interior, sweeping arches and secondary framing for the interior curved surfaces, evoking a grand scale and uplifting sense of arrival.
