SANTA FE DEPOT (MONROVIA)
Monrovia, CA USA
2017

The project involved the seismic retrofit and full renovation of the existing Santa Fe Depot which was in a severe state of disrepair. The former train station was renovated with the intent to create a unique restaurant space which also included the addition of a new steel canopy for outdoor seating. The elegant steel frame of the new canopy is reminiscent of the traditional train platform with a contemporary approach. The canopy is supported on a series of central cantilever columns and covers approximately 3,500 SF of space.
