OXY Arts at Occidental College

OXY ARTS, Occidental College’s community-minded arts hub, occupies a renovated single-story wood-framed building along York Boulevard in the Highland Park neighborhood.

NOUS provided structural engineering services for this adaptive reuse project, led by Tirado Design Associates and Design, Bitches, transforming a formerly anonymous structure into a vibrant public space that supports exhibitions, performances, artist residencies, and workshops. The design connects the College with the broader Northeast Los Angeles community, offering free programming that invites artists and residents into inclusive dialogue and artful collaboration.
