Outcasts from the Underground
To create Outcasts from the Underground, NOUS leveraged the inherent strength of precast concrete blocks usually used for underground infrastructure.
Using a 3D model and analysis, we conducted rapid iterations—rotating, shifting, repositioning, and reorienting the blocks within the stack—to achieve a solution that avoided any strengthening or reinforcement. The result of this fine-tuning is an artistically significant and structurally sound composition.
