The art installation, located in Los Angeles Art's District, consists of multiple suspended spheres connected and stabilized by a steel support matrix. This matrix is carried by a network of high-strength steel cables, distributing loads to both the overhead existing building and the podium-mounted mast. The engineering scope included analysis and design of the cable system and support mast connections, verification of existing structural capacities. Coordination with the artist and fabricators throughout the analysis and design process ensure the installation achieved the overall aesthetic intent.
