Marquee at Alloy Loft
Located in Los Angeles’ Arts District, Marquee at Alloy Loft consists of multiple suspended spheres connected and stabilized by a steel support matrix.
This matrix is carried by a network of high-strength steel cables, distributing loads to both the overhead existing building and the podium-mounted mast. The engineering scope included analysis and design of the cable system and support mast connections, verification of existing structural capacities. NOUS coordinated with the artist and fabricators throughout the analysis and design process to ensure the installation achieved their overall aesthetic intent.
