Logan Airport Terminal E
For the modernization of the international terminal at Logan Airport, Luis Vidal + Architects envisioned a flowing, dynamic passenger environment.
The overall project expands international departures, introduces photovoltaic glazing, increases daylighting, and aspires to LEED Gold certification. NOUS Engineering collaborated with Radius Track to create a 35,000-square-foot surface-area orb that defines the terminal’s iconic façade, 5,000 square feet of gate entry framing, and custom bullnose framing integrated along the structure’s perimeter at multiple levels. These interventions help to update and modernize the facilities while addressing the technical demands of construction within an active airport.
