Liberia Standards & Training
After a long civil war decimated Liberia’s healthcare system, the Ministry of Health approached a team of architects and engineers to conduct an analysis of current conditions and develop new standards.
This analysis, developed by MASS Design Group in consultation with NOUS, was funded by USAID and the Rebuilding Basic Health Services (RBHS) project. NOUS served as the structural consultant on the project, developing architectural and engineering guidelines for all scales of facilities, clinics, health centers, and hospitals throughout Liberia. NOUS also provided troubleshooting assistance to engineers in the infrastructure unit, conducting training for eight engineers in the use of analysis software programs.
