John Lautner Office Building
Lautner’s louvered landmark, restored and extended.
Built in 1946, the Late Modern Darrow Office Building is known for the long horizontal louvers stacked on its exterior walls, all of which BA Collective preserved while adding a third-story indoor-outdoor workspace. NOUS Engineering provided structural engineering for both the restoration and the addition, supporting the new level while protecting the historic fabric that makes this building so notable.
