Hospital Campus Assessments
For six hospital buildings on an Oceanside campus, NOUS provided fast-track assessments to help the facilities comply with new seismic standards.
Completed within a short timeline, the assessments required multiple site visits for the collection of data on the non-conforming bracing of all non-structural components. NOUS provided a report to the client that outlined the level of retrofit required, as well as retrofit construction documents. Our work also included seismic building assessments, including structural analysis and conceptual retrofit plans of the two existing concrete-framed buildings; these will be used to estimate the cost of meeting upgrade requirements while remaining operational.
