A faceted canopy of light and shadow welcomes travelers to Hollywood Burbank Airport.
Custom triangular perforated panels by Arktura come together in rectangular assemblies across the interior and exterior ceilings, joined outside by a graphic perforated wall. NOUS Engineering designed an intermediate steel structure to bridge two separate structures, developing a system for the panels to move independently from two very different structures. Working closely with Arktura and the contractor, NOUS also engineered secondary framing for the seismic joint panels by Construction Specialties.
