GLORYA KAUFMAN CREATIVE COMMUNITY CENTER AT THE WENDE MUSEUM
Los Angeles, CA USA
In Progress

The Wende Museum Rehabilitation addresses the long neglected buildings adjacent to the existing Wende Museum campus in Culver City. Bringing the unused buildings into the modern era, the 7,500 sq/ft mixed-use space will offer a new theater, classrooms, learning gardens, and community gathering spaces, invigorating the heart of the local community.
While adaptive re-use of the unused buildings is a focus, the project will also feature a new 5,000 sq/ft 3 story concrete addition. The design exposes the structural concrete as part of the finished aesthetic - achieved through tight tolerances and collaboration among the design and construction teams.
