Glorya Kaufman Creative Community Center
Addressing the long-neglected buildings adjacent to the existing Wende Museum campus in Culver City, this adaptive reuse project updates and improves these structures and adds a new three-story building.
NOUS contributed to both this addition and the adaptive reuse of the existing facilities, bringing them together through a language of exposed structural concrete developed by AUX Architecture. Tight tolerances and close collaboration between the design and construction teams made this constrained yet varied project possible. The result is a facility that offers a new theater, classrooms, learning gardens, and community gathering spaces, invigorating the heart of the local community.
