City of Monrovia Santa Fe Depot
After decades of disrepair and neglect, the historic Santa Fe Depot underwent a seismic retrofit and full renovation that reimagined the former train station as a distinctive restaurant space.
NOUS provided structural engineering services that facilitated these upgrades; we also worked with the architects to design a new canopy. This canopy, supported by central cantilever columns, recalls the traditional train platform while offering a contemporary interpretation and expands the restaurant’s capacity and presence in the neighborhood.
