Butaro Health Campus
In the mountainous northern region of Rwanda, the Butaro Health Campus provides both inpatient and outpatient services for a variety of populations.
Damaged by a major storm and suffering from structural deficiencies caused by faulty construction practices, the primary facility required a structural assessment. NOUS carried out this assessment and produced an analysis and strengthening scheme to satisfy life safety and code compliance. NOUS also advised on the creation of a new addition to serve cancer patients, providing both analysis and structural design, as well as a methodology for construction sequencing that allowed the project to be completed quickly and efficiently.
