Atwater Canyon

This adaptive reuse in Atwater Village reimagines a century-old masonry building as a vibrant, multi-tenant hub for retail and hospitality, housing venues such as HomeState, Goodies, and Holy Basil.

A central paseo bisects the building, connecting Glendale Boulevard with rear parking and fostering flow and openness in the neighborhood. NOUS facilitated Formation Association’s incorporation of design features such as wide arched storefronts, hand-raked dusty rose plaster walls, preserved architectural remnants, and rooftop succulent planting with vine-support trellises.
